Candy Fridges and Freezer

Candy is an Italian company that was founded by Eden Fumagalli. In 1945, Fumagalli’s workshops produced the Model 50 washing machine, which was launched the following year, and the Candy brand name was born. Nine years later the company produced a semi-automatic washing machine with spinner, giving Candy a first in the field.

The 1960s saw the production of Candy’s first fully automatic washing machine, and the company continued to research and develop innovative new designs. In addition, Candy began to expand outside Italy, and from the 1970s onwards Candy began to acquire numerous other companies in the field.

Candy’s growth has been impressive; in addition to washing machines, the company manufactures a range of other lines, such as dishwashers, refrigeration units and various other high quality kitchen appliances. Candy now has many plants across the globe, and its products are widely available in high street stores and online.
