Types of Fridge Freezers – Integrated Fridges

Built-in fridges are the same as the freestanding models; the only difference is that they are hidden away behind cupboard doors, which you provide yourself to match your kitchen. Anything else needed for installation must also be purchased. Integrated fridges can also fit into under the counter spaces, and you will need to measure the space where the appliance will be housed before choosing a model.

Integrated fridges have an energy rating, and models with an A rating are the most cost-efficient. An auto-defrosting fridge is a good idea, as it saves you the time and trouble of having to do it yourself. Other features that may be of interest are LED temperature displays, warning alerts if the temperature gets too high or the door is left open, salad crispers with humidity controls so the food stays fresh, horizontal bottle racks, and adjustable shelves and door storage so you can store items in accordance with your personal preferences. Glass shelves are thought to be best, as they stay cold for longer in the event of power failure.
