Fridge freezers are an excellent choice for kitchens that don’t have enough room for separate appliances. Standard fridge freezers are available in a range of capacities, so you need to decide what ratio you would like. You can purchase half and half models, giving you equal amounts of fridge and freezer space, or you can choose from other combinations, such as a 30/70 split. With most standard fridge freezers the fridge is on top, although some models have a small freezer with just one shelf, and this is situated on top of the fridge. These can be a good idea if you need a larger fridge and already have a separate freezer.

Humidity controlled salad crispers, an auto defrosting fridge section, frost-free operation, horizontal bottle racks, transparent freezer drawers and ice trays are just some of the options you may be looking for. Many have a modern look, with a standard white or silver finish, whilst others feature retro designs and come in many colours. All standard fridge freezers have an energy rating, with A-rated appliances being the cheapest to run. Many models are CFC- and HFC-free.

Prices vary depending on brand, design and features, and can range from around £150 for a basic model to almost £3000 for a top of the range standard fridge freezer.
